Q. Why do you call this place Arwen Art when it is not a Lord of the Rings fansite?
A. My name really is Arwen.

Q. Your name is really Arwen?
A. Yes.

Q. Why do you call yourself Arwen?
A. Because that is what my parents put on the birth certificate. I hope we're done with this. Weird name in the United States, I know, but in Britain, it's as common as the name Kathy. I know four of those!

Q. Do you like Lord of the Rings?
A. Actually, I don't like the books. Loved the movies, but I'm not a fanatic. I read fanfics every now and then. My dad's the fanatic. He named his own flesh and blood after one of them.

Q. How old are you?
A. I was born on February 8, 1982.

Q. When did you start drawing?
A. 1997.

Q. Are you married?
A. Yes. I like Mrs. None of this Ms. stuff.

Q. Any children?
A. I have one daughter, Alice Marie. She was born January 9, 2008.

Q. Awww.... after the books?
A. No. My daughter is not named for a nitwit that fell down a hole. She's named after a zombie killer.

Q. "Insert Name Here" has stolen your art!
A. If it's ripped, don't bother telling me. Life's too short to hound someone that will probably just ignore you. If it's just posted on their page as "art they really like," they aren't hurting anyone. You could send them an email telling them to credit me. Politely. If it's copied, I don't care. I really don't feel threatened. If they have to copy, they need all the practice they can get, so just leave them be. It would be nice if they did credit the original. Courteous.

Q. Can I copy a picture or pose of yours?
A. You can copy whatever you like on here. That's how I learned to draw, by copying other's art. I eventually got good enough to draw on my own. So copy to your heart's content. Just be nice and credit the original, huh?

Q. Can I make a request? Wanna do a trade? Would you be willing to do a commission?

Q. Can I host "insert drawing here" on my site?
A. If you don't alter it, and I get a link back.

Q. Wanna do a link exchange?
A. No. Link exchanges don't mean you like the other site, the other site could suck. You just link them cause they linked you. I never view exchange lists, and I don't want my site on one for the sole reason that I have your link up. I like to think my art is worth more than that.

Q. How do you get your drawings so smooth?
A. Q-tips. You can also use cotton balls, toilet/tissue paper, or a stump.

Q. What medium do you use?
A. Coloured pencils, markers, ink, and pencil for the most part. Every now and then, I venture into the land of paint.

Q. Can you help me learn to draw?
A. All I can tell you is to practice. Drawing is nothing more than hand-eye coordination. Practice makes perfect. Like Baseball.
