January 9, 2008
I was born today. It was 5:42 P.M. Mommy was very quick at getting me out. Daddy cut my umbilical cord, and Dr. Lambard handed me to the nurses so they could clean me up.
|
| The nurses took my footprints, cleaned me up a little, and wrapped me in a blanket. Then they handed me to Mommy. My eyes were a little squinty, and for a moment Mommy thought it was true about turning your baby Chinese from eating too much Chinese food, but it was just medicine they put into my eyes. Silly Mommy! |

I looked at Mommy for a long time. She handed me to Daddy next, and then Grandma and Meme. After an hour, the nurses came to give me a bath.
