My First Month
   January 9, 2008

I was born today. It was 5:42 P.M. Mommy was very quick at getting me out. Daddy cut my umbilical cord, and Dr. Lambard handed me to the nurses so they could clean me up.

The nurses took my footprints, cleaned me up a little, and wrapped me in a blanket. Then they handed me to Mommy. My eyes were a little squinty, and for a moment Mommy thought it was true about turning your baby Chinese from eating too much Chinese food, but it was just medicine they put into my eyes. Silly Mommy!
I looked at Mommy for a long time. She handed me to Daddy next, and then Grandma and Meme. After an hour, the nurses came to give me a bath.
